Playhouse 211 is Brunswick County's newest non profit performing arts theater. LOCATED AT 4320-100 SOUTHPORT SUPPLY ROAD, ST. JAMES, NC 28461. The Playhouse has quickly become known for quality performances and also as the local community theater with an intimate and social environment for an evening of fun and entertainment. Our education programs offer classes in acting, lighting, sound, song/music writing for children and adults. These programs benefit from the many retirees in this area that have impressive backgrounds in all aspects of the performing arts. Playhouse 211 has a lobby snack bar with beverages and snacks that can be enjoyed during the performances. To date several plays have been performed and have been well received by the community, as well as, several concerts including oldies, a chamber orchestra, country and "urban" bluegrass bands. The Playhouse is an eighty one seat theater with comfortable theater style seats arranged stadium style. The theater is handicapped accessible and assistance will be provided to anyone needing it with a phone call in advance.
